Configuring a newly installed system

Prerequisites
• The hardware is installed correctly. If someone else installed the system, see Verifying the
StoreOnce Gen4 hardware installation.
• The system is powered on.
• The First Time Setup Wizard has been run.
Open a web browser and access the StoreOnce system. The First Time Setup wizard is automatically
displayed. Use the First Time Setup wizard to configure the system for use.
Procedure
1. Log on to the StoreOnce Management Console. Review and update the settings that were
configured with the First Time Setup Wizard.
• Administrator password
• System information, such as system, location, and contact information
• System date and time, or NTP configuration
• Storage configuration
• Remote Support configuration
• Console password
2. Complete the network configuration.
On the main menu, select Settings. In the Hardware section, click the Networking panel.

3. Configure licenses.
a. On the main menu, select Settings.
b. In the Systems section, click the License Management panel.
• To view a license summary, click the Overview tab.
• To view a list of the installed licenses, click the Licenses tab.

4. Configure user accounts.
a. On the main menu, select Settings.
b. In the User Management section, click the Users and Groups panel panel.
