2 Application Description
2.1 Parallel Connection Mode
ESMs can be connected in parallel to increase the backup time or backup power.
The backup power of a single ESM is 4.8 kW. The maximum power (P) of N groups of ESMs
connected in parallel = min. (4.8 kW x N x Maximum power, 24 kW), 2 ≤ N ≤ 32.

2.2 Online Expansion
In the maintenance mode of the ESM, the system capacity or power can be expanded without
disconnecting the battery supply so that the site will not break down in case of a mains power
failure during capacity expansion.
