5 Maintenance Guide
Skilled personnel are required to perform maintenance operations. Skilled personnel should
also be protected against unintentional contact or exposure to energy sources capable of
causing injury.
Skilled personnel refer to personnel who:
Have training or experience in the equipment technology, particularly in knowing the
various energies and energy magnitudes used in the equipment.
Are expected to use their training and experience to recognize energy sources capable of
causing pain or injury and to take action for protection from injury from those energies.
The ESM software can be upgraded only when the AC power is normal.
5.1 Maintenance Method
Table 5-1 Maintenance method
Check the ESM indicators for its running status. Table 4 describes the
indicators.
1. View the ESM running status on the LCD of Huawei power
monitoring module (SMU02B or SMU02C): LCD menu path: Main
Menu > Running Information > Lithium Battery > Lithium
Battery Group
2. Check the active alarms for ESM fault alarms. LCD menu path:
Main Menu > Active Alarm. If there is any fault alarm, handle it by
referring to 5.1 Maintenance Method.
1. Check the ESM running status on the WebUI of the Huawei power
monitoring module (SMU02B or SMU02C). WebUI menu path:
Monitoring > DC Power > Lithium Battery Group > Running
