Starting relay K3
The starting relay K3 is located underneath the
battery basket.
Trouble shooting starting relay K3
The pins that are to make contact with each other in
the respective modes are marked with a cross (X).
Measure the resistance between the pins with an
ohmmeter.
The resistance between pin 3 and 4 is to be
between 5 and 10 when the starter relay is
deactivated. Between the other pins the resistance
is to be greater than 1000 .
When the starter relay is activated, the resistance
between pin 1 and 2 is to be less than 0.5 .
Dismantling
1. Raise the operator‘s seat forward.
2. Disconnect the battery terminals.
3. Remove the battery locking pin.
4. Remove the battery from the battery basket and
lift out the basket.
5. Mark the cables with tape to simplify
identification when refitting.
6. Disconnect the cables from the starter relay.
7. Remove the two screws (5) and take out the
starter relay.
Mounting
1. Secure the starter relay with the two screws (5).
2. Connect the cables to the starter relay.
3. Put the battery basket and battery back into
place.
4. Secure the battery basket with the locking pin.
5. Connect the battery terminals and lower the
operator‘s seat.
