Changing the upper and lower
spring holder
Dismantling
1. Remove the rear plate. (See page 72)
2. Remove the spring (4).
3. Remove the retainer ring (1) and take the lower
spring holder (3) and the upper spring holder (5)
off the axle (2).
Mounting
1. Clean the spring holders (3) and (5) and grease
the axle (2).
2. Place the spring holders on the axle, and secure
them with the retainer ring (1).
3. Fit the spring (4).
4. Check the settings. (See below)
5. Fit the rear plate. (See page 79)
POWER TRANSMISSION
Checking movement of the lower spring holder
1. Remove the rear plate. (See page 72)
2. Press the reversing pedal (6) to the bottom and
measure size X.
A. Reduce length h of the setting screw (9) if the
size X <115 mm.
B. Increase length h of the setting screw (9) if
the size X >115 mm.
3. After adjusting the reversing pedal, tighten the
locknut of the setting screw (9), and check the
size X again.
