Are the gear teeth of the
steering sector drive and
those of the steering
pinion intact?
Replace the steering
sector drive and/or the
steering pinion.
Is the retainer ring placed
in its correct position on
the steering column?
Place the retainer ring in
its correct position.
Does steering sometimes
work when the steering
wheel is turned?
Are the screws of the
steering sector drive
properly tightened?
Tighten the screws. See
