7. Message Services
The radio can send and receive short messages, which are classified into the following types:
 Text message: a message containing text or numbers.
 Quick text message: a frequently used text message that can be created, edited, or deleted through the menu.
7.1 Sending a Message
Through Message
1. Go to Menu > Message > Msg New > New Msg.
2. Select the contact in either of the following ways:

In the recipient text box, enter the contact ID, and then press to switch the ID type.

Press the OK/Menu key to enter the contact list, and then select the contact.
3. Determine the message type.

To send a text message, enter the message content in the message text box.

To send a quick text message, select Insert to add the message.
4. Select Send.
Through Contact
1. Go to Menu > Contact > Contact/Favorite.
2. Select the contact.
3. Press the OK/Menu key, and then select New Msg.
4. Enter the message content, or select Insert to add the quick text.
5. Select Send.
Through Call Logs
1. Go to Menu > Call Logs.
2. Select the contact.
3. Select Send Msg.
4. Enter the message content, or select Insert to add the quick text.
5. Select Send.
