6. Settings
6.1 Set the Backlight
You can turn on the backlight to illuminate the LCD, which facilitates your operation under dim light.
1. On the home screen, go to Menu > Settings > Backlight.
2. Do either of the following:
If You Want to…
Then…
Set backlight time
1. Select Time, and then press the Menu key.
2. Select a time, and then press the Menu key.
Adjust the brightness level
1. Select Brightness, and then press the Menu key.
2. Select a brightness level, and then press the Menu key.
Higher level indicates higher brightness.
6.2 Set the Tones
You can enable or disable tones for different operations.
1. On the home screen, go to Menu > Settings > Tones.
2. Select a service or operation, and then press the Menu key.
6.3 Lock or Unlock the Keypad
When the keypad is not in use, it is recommended that you lock the keypad to avoid misoperations.
Auto Lock
1. On the home screen, go to Menu > Settings > Keypad Lock.
2. (Optional) In the Keypad Lock interface, change the preset lock time.

, and then press the

key.

Select a time, and then press the
Menu
key.
c.
Press the
Channel
key.
3. Select Auto Lock, and then press the Menu key.
Manual Lock or Unlock

To lock or unlock the keypad, press the preprogrammed
Keypad Lock
key.
