7.2.3 Secure Call
Secure Call allows you to encrypt the call.
1. On the home screen, go to Menu > Advanced > Secure Call.
2. Set the password.
a.
Select
Password
, and then press the
Menu
key.
b.
Select a character, and then press the
Middle
key.
c. Repeat step b until all characters are entered
, and then press the
Menu
key.
3. Select Secure Call, and then press the Menu key.
To initiate a secure call, both parties should set the same password.
7.2.4 Pseudo Trunking
Pseudo Trunking allows a radio to transmit and receive through another free time slot when one slot is occupied.
Direct channel: The radio enables Pseudo Trunking by default.
Repeater channel

Select
Time Slot

Select
Pseudo Trunking

7.3 Analog Features
7.3.1 Scrambler
Scrambler allows the radio to invert the frequency spectrum of transmitted audio signals. Only the receiving radio
with the same Scrambler settings can restore the audio signals. This prevents eavesdropping and ensures
communication privacy.
To turn on or off Scrambler, do either of the following:
On the home screen, go to
Menu
>
Advanced
>
Scrambler
, and then press the
Menu
key.
Press the preprogrammed
Scrambler
key.
