After Clone
When the radio B successfully clones configuration data from the radio A, the radio B restarts automatically.
When the radio B fails to clone configuration data from the radio A, long press the
On-Off
key to turn off the
radio B. When the radio B restarts, it recovers to the original configuration data.
7.1.8 Scan
Scan allows you to listen to activities on other channels, keeping track of your team members.
To ensure successful establishment of private call, it is recommended that you configure a maximum of 30
scan channels.
To turn on or off Scan, do either of the following:
On the home screen, go to
Menu
>
Advanced
>
Scan
, and then press the
Menu
key.
Press the preprogrammed
Scan
key.
With Scan enabled, the LED indicator flashes orange slowly. When detecting activities on a channel, the radio stays
on the channel, and the LED indicator glows green.
7.1.9 Talk Around
Talk Around allows you to continue communication in direct mode when the repeater malfunctions or your radio is
out of the coverage of the repeater.
To turn on or off Talk Around, press the preprogrammed
Talk Around
key.
7.2 Digital Features
7.2.1 Contacts
You can view the private call contacts on the radio.
1. On the home screen, go to Menu > Contacts.
2. Select a contact, and then press the Menu key.
7.2.2 One Touch Call
One Touch Call allows you to initiate a call to the specified contact on the digital channel.
Press the preprogrammed
One Touch
Call
key, and then press and hold the
PTT
key.
