7. Supplementary Services
7.1 Common Features
7.1.1 Voice Broadcast
With Voice Broadcast enabled, the radio can audibly notify you the key information.
When You

Turn on the radio.
Press the preprogrammed

Current channel and battery level
Switch the channel through the
Knob
.
Channel number to which you just switch
Press the preprogrammed
Channel Up
key or
Channel Down
key.

To turn on Voice Broadcast, do either of the following:
On the home screen, go to
Menu
>
Advanced
>
Voice Broadcast
, and then press the
Menu
key.
Press the preprogrammed
Voice Notification
key.
7.1.2 Power Level
Power Level allows you to set the TX power level to high or low. High power enables communication with radios
far away from you but consumes more battery power. Low power enables communication with radios close to you
and saves battery power.
The TX power of license-free channel is 0.5 W, and cannot be adjusted.
To adjust the power level, do either of the following:
Through Power Level Interface
1. On the home screen, go to Menu > Settings > Radio > Power Level.
2. Select High or Low, and then press the Menu key.
Through Programmable Key

key.
