(The following is a test of the coax cable from the
terminal to the controller. The presence of
controller signals will not affect test). Disconnect
the coax
cable from the terminal. Measure the
resistance
from the center pin of the connector on
the
cable to the outer case of the connector. Use
Rx10 range.
Is resistance between 1.SK and 2.6K ohms?

Resistance higher than 2.6K indicates an open
cable, bad cable connector or defect at the
controller. (Coax resistance is 30 ohm/1Ooo
feet).
Repair
or exchange.

(The following is a test from the coax connector on
the
terminal to card 01 A/ A 1 G2).
Test the resistance
from the center contact of the
connector on the
terminal to the outer case of the
connector. Do
not use the frame of the terminal.
Use Rx1 range.
Does resistance measure between 0 and 3
ohms?

If resistance is too high, test the coax connector
on the card
gate, cable for breaks and reseat the
01A/A1G2 card. Remove 01A/A1G2 card.
Meter
should indicate an open condition. If not
exchange coax cable from terminal connector to
logic gate.
