Activity
Provides two paths from keyboard to logic:
logic-area
test path and data path.
Mode Entry: Press Control key.

suggested sequence of logic area tests.
Result
Note: All references to keys to be used in Test Mode 3 are identified
by the diagram shown for Test Mode 2. (Do not identify keyboard
keys by the characters that appear on the key tops.)
Suggested Logic Area Test Sequence

Press C key. Characters keyed
in during Test Mode 2 are replaced by Test Mode 1
Press
Control key. (Japanese/English Keyboard) pattern; initial power-on status is loaded into status register.
Press B key.
'iappears in first position of operator information area. (Correct
response for power-on status.) (A tone sounds if the audible alarm
feature is installed, on (D) type only.)
Press B three more times (to clear status!' -t First position of operator information area becomes O· .
Press Control key.
