8. If a CD/DVD drive is installed in the server, disconnect the CD/DVD drive
cable from the connector on the system board.
9. Take the clamp that comes with the simple-swap drive and backplate
assembly kit and remove the paper label from the bottom of the clamp; then,
stick the clamp onto the top of the operator information panel (see illustration
below). Take the end of the CD/DVD drive cable that you disconnect from the
system board and insert the cable into the clamp and twist the loops at the
top of the clamp across each other to secure the cable in place.

10. Connect the backplate cable to the CD/DVD/simple-swap SATA drive
backplate connector on the system board.
11. Install the simple-swap drive into the drive bay nearest the operator
information panel.
