EMISSIONS WARRANTY INFORMATION
Product Owner’s Responsibilities Procedures
It is extremely important that attention be given to gaseous emissions
throughout the life of the engine. It is the responsibility of the owner/
operator(s) to have routine engine maintenance performed in order
to maintain emission levels within the certied standards. e owner/
operator(s) may not modify the engine in any manner that would alter the
allowable gaseous emission levels to exceed their certied specications.
Emissions Control Information Label
At the time of manufacture, each engine is axed with a tamper-resistant
Emission Control Information (ECI) label. is label arms the required
emissions statement, along with the engine “family” name as well as the
engine displacement. e engine serial number is stamped on a at boss
surface on the block, in the respective locations shown in the sidebar. e
date of manufacture is indicated by punch holes at the bottom of the ECI
label.
ECI labels must not be removed or tampered with by anyone.
If replacement labels are needed, contact Ilmor High-Performance Marine,
LLC promptly.
Engines with the CE mark (present in the lower right corner of the ECI
label) arm that the Declaration of Conformity applies. e Declaration of
Conformity attests the engines conformance to the appropriate European
Community Directive. e ECI label is located on the electronic engine
control mounting bracket on the rear of the engine (MV8 570); it is located
on the heat exchanger on the MV10 G4 engines.
