pipe, except the elbow leaving the splitter is insulated to reduce
heat loss from the pipe, thus preventing the formation of ue
gas condensate.
When installing the insulated pipes, a section clamp
with pin must be installed every 2 metres.
1.15 FLUE EXHAUST TO FLUE/CHIMNEY.
Flue gas exhaust does not necessarily have to be connected to a
branched type traditional ue. e ue exhaust can be connected
to a special LAS type multiple ue. Multiple and combined ues
must be specially designed according to the calculation method
and requirements of the standards, by professionally qualied
technical sta. Chimney or ue sections for connection of the
exhaust pipe must comply with requisites of technical standards
in force.
1.16 DUCTING OF EXISTING FLUES.
With a specic “ducting system” it is possible to reuse existing
ues, chimneys and technical openings to discharge the boiler ue
gases. Ducting requires the use of ducts declared to be suitable for
the purpose by the manufacturer. Follow the installation and user
instructions provided by the manufacturer and the requirements
of standards.

- Ducts must withstand condensation (only for con-
densing models);
- Air intake ducts must withstand working air tem-
peratures of up to 60°C;
- e maximum permissible percentage of ue gas
recirculation in windy conditions is 10%.

walls;
