Processing A Magnetic Swipe Refund
Press the Menu button once
You will be prompted to key in your Refund Password (For security reasons, you should
change from the default, please see page 11) Press OK once the password is entered
Swipe the merchants card with the magnetic strip facing downwards and towards the
terminal
Key in the amount in pence (i.e. 1545 for £15.45) then press OK
The terminal will make connection to the payment processing provider’s system to obtain
an Authorisation code. Ensure the card is not removed during this process as it will VOID
the refund
The first receipt the terminal will print is the Merchant copy, retain this and then press OK
to print the Customer copy
The terminal is now ready to take the next transaction
