KeepinmindthatthehighertheACKtiming,thelowerthethroughputwill

low,thewindowcouldexpiretoosoonandreturningpacketscouldbe

Thefragmentationthresholdisusedtosetthemaximumpacketssizethata
clientwillsend.Thesmallerthemaximumsizesthebetterthereliabilityof
thewirelessconnection,buttheperformanceislikelytodecrease.Possible
valuesrangefrom256tothedefaultvalueof2346(bytes).
Sowhenshouldyouchangethisvalue?Onlyifyouneedtoimprovethe
reliabilityofawirelessconnectionwhereperformanceissecondary.Usually
youdomoreharmthangoodifyoulowerthefragmentthreshold.
RTS/CTSThreshold RTS/CTS(requesttosend/cleartosend)packetsaresentbywirelessclients
toaccesspoints.Theclientsessentiallyaskforpermissiontosendthenext
datapacket.Thelowerthethreshold,themorestableyourwirelessnetwork,
sinceitessentiallyasksmoreoftenwhensendingpackages.Thedefaultvalue
is2347,andyouarewelladvisedtoleavethisvalueunchanged.
