Wornordamagedpartsoftheliftmaycause

–Aftertherstyearofuse,thehooksofthe
hangerbarandmountingbracketsofthe
boomshouldbeinspectedeverysixmonths
todeterminetheextentofwear.Checkfor
signsofcracking,fraying,deformationor
deterioration.Ifthesepartsbecomeworn,
replacementmustbemade.
–Periodicallyinspectallcomponentsofthe
patientliftforsignsofcorrosion.Replaceall
partsthatarecorrodedordamaged.
Regularcleaningwillreveallooseorwornparts,
enhancesmoothoperationandextendthelife
expectancyofthelift.
Followthemaintenanceproceduresdescribedin
thismanualtokeepyourpatientliftincontinuous
service.
TheInvacareliftisdesignedtoprovideamaximumlevelof
safe,efcientandsatisfactoryservicewithminimumcare
andmaintenance.
Itisimportanttoinspectallstressedparts,suchasslings,
hangerbarandanypivotpointsforsignsofwear,cracking,
fraying,deformationordeterioration.Allpartsofthe
Invacareliftaremadeofthebestgradesofsteel,butmetal
tometalcontactwillwearafterconsiderableuse.Replace
anydefectivepartsimmediatelyandensurethatthelift
isnotuseduntilrepairsaremade.RefertotheSafety
InspectionChecklistforspecicinformationregardingwear
items.
Thereisnoadjustmentormaintenanceofeitherthecasters
orbrakes,otherthancleaning,lubricationandchecking
axleandswivelboltsfortightness.Removealldebris,etc.
fromthewheelandswivelbearings.Ifanypartsareworn,
replacethesepartsimmediately.

advisehim/herofyourproblem.
