How to resolve measured motor parameters are not convergent on Invertek Optidrive P2 Controller?
    • B
      Brent LevineSep 15, 2025
If the Invertek Controller indicates that the measured motor parameters are not convergent, ensure the motor is correctly connected and free from faults. Check that the power rating corresponds to the power rating of the connected drive.

Why is there an over voltage on the DC bus of my Invertek Optidrive P2?
    • J
      Jenna MontgomeryAug 25, 2025
If you are experiencing an over voltage on the DC bus of your Invertek Controller, it's generally due to excessive regenerative energy being transferred from the load back to the drive. You can view the DC Bus Voltage value in P0-20, and a historical log is stored at 256ms intervals prior to a trip in parameter P0-36. If the fault occurs on stopping or during deceleration, try increasing the deceleration ramp time P1-04 or connecting a suitable brake resistor to the drive. If operating in Vector Mode, reduce the speed loop gain P4-03. If operating in PID control, ensure that ramps are active by reducing P3-11.

How to fix heatsink over temperature on Invertek Controller?
    • F
      fordashleyAug 27, 2025
If your Invertek Controller is showing a heatsink over temperature error, the heatsink temperature can be displayed in P0-21. A historical log is stored at 30-second intervals prior to a trip in parameter P0-38. Check the drive's ambient temperature and ensure the internal cooling fan is working. Make sure the required space around the drive is maintained and that the cooling airflow path is not restricted. You can also reduce the effective switching frequency setting in parameter P2-24, and reduce the load on the motor/drive.

What causes a hardware over current error on Invertek Optidrive P2 Controller?
    • D
      Debra SnowAug 27, 2025
If your Invertek Controller displays a hardware over current error, check the wiring to the motor and the motor itself for phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth short circuits. Disconnect the motor and motor cable, then retest. If the drive trips with no motor connected, it must be replaced, and the system should be fully checked and retested before installing a replacement unit.

What does Output (Motor) Phase Loss mean on Invertek Controller?
    • G
      Gabriela BrownSep 16, 2025
An Output (Motor) Phase Loss error on your Invertek Controller indicates that one of the motor output phases is not connected to the drive.

What to do if Invertek Optidrive P2 shows instantaneous over current?
    • J
      Jasmine AlexanderNov 24, 2025
If you are getting an instantaneous over current on the drive output of your Invertek Controller, and there's an excess load on the motor, consider the following: * If the fault occurs on drive enable, check the motor and motor connection cable for phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth short circuits. Also, check the load mechanically for jams, blockages, or stalled conditions. Ensure the motor nameplate parameters are correctly entered (P1-07, P1-08, P1-09). If operating in Vector mode (P4-01 – 0 or 1), check the motor power factor in P4-05 and ensure an autotune has been successfully completed. Reduce the Boost voltage setting in P1-11 and increase the ramp-up time in P1-03. If the connected motor has a holding brake, ensure it's correctly connected, controlled, and releasing properly. *...
