5.4 Storage
When storing the QuietPower Inverter, follow the environmental conditions specified below.
No rain, snow, spray, bilge, or dust
No salt spray
Low humidity
Cool and dry
Out of direct sunlight
5.5 Preparation for Shipment
The QuietPower Inverter contains sophisticated internal electronic circuits that can be damaged
if the inverter is bounced around or dropped. Approved shipping methods are as follows:
Save the original packaging material. The inverter shall be shipped back to Iris
Technology for repair and the preferred method of shipping is to use the same
packaging material that was used when first shipped from the factory. Make sure the
inverter is secure in the packaging and will not be damaged by rain, snow, spray,
bilge, or dust.
If a transportation case is available, the case can be used for shipping provided it is
packaged properly with adequate packaging material surrounding the inverter. Make
sure the inverter is secure in the packaging and will not be damaged by rain, snow,
spray, bilge, or dust.
Use Military or commercial transport companies to prepare the inverter for shipping.
