Corrective Maintenance
6.1 General
This section provides additional procedures for qualified electronic technicians (only) to inspect
and clean the QuietPower Inverter (internally) and to remove and replace the internal fuse.
6.2 Inspect and Clean
The following paragraphs detail the internal inspection and cleaning of the QuietPower Inverter.
6.2.1 Inspection
Inspect the QuietPower Inverter in accordance with Table 9.
Table 9: Inspection (Internal)
Be sure the inverter is switched OFF and
disconnected from any power source for at least 5
minutes.
Perform Inspection (External) procedure.
Remove 14 screws attaching the outer housing.
Check inverter for displaced components indicating
signs of mechanical failure.
If any components are displaced, contact Iris Technology for
repair and/or replacement.
Check inverter for debris buildup.
Perform Cleaning (Internal) procedure.
Check the fuse is intact by verifying continuity across
its terminals.
The fuse may be replaced by removing its fasteners,
substituting a known good fuse, and then replacing its
screws.
Additional checks may be made of the switch, circuit
breaker, and GFCI with support from Iris Technology.
The qualified electronics technician is instructed to contact
Iris Technology for additional procedures relating to these
elements.
