• Remove the fuel filler cap and check
to see
if
the level is up to the bottom of
the filler throat. When the level is low,
replenish with gasoline.

Note:
- Tighten the air cleaner cover securely,
or it may come
off
due to vibration.
- Operation without the air-cleaner
cover or the elements may cause en-
gine trouble.
• Remove the coin bolts and then the air
cleaner cover.
• Check the elements for clogging: a
urethane foam element and a paper el-
ement are installed.
• Clean them if necessary. (About how
to clean the elements, refer to "SERV-
ICE,

- Lorsque du carburant est repandu
pendant l'operatlon de remplissage,
l'essuyer lmmedlatement et attendre
que toutes traces alent disparu avant
de remettre fa machine en marche.
- Le niveau de carburant ne doit pas
depasserla base de fagoulotte de rem-
plissage; l'essence pourrait deborder
du reservoir et se repandre
sur
le mo-
teur. Bien resserrer le bouchon de
reservoir apres remplissage.

Caution:
•
Be
sure to stop the engine before re-
filling with fuel.

As
gasoline catches fire easily
and
is
explosive, avoid smoking
and
open
fire near the machine during refilling
with fuel.
• Take care
not
to spill
fuel
during re-
filling.
If
fuel
should be spilt, wipe it
up at once and wait
for
the spilt
fuel
to evaporate completely before at-
tempting engine starting.

Never refill with
fuel
to a level ex-
ceedingthe bottom
of
the filler throat.
Excessivefilling causes
fuel
overflow,
which is very dangerous. Be sure to
re-tighten the tank cap securely after
filling.
