4. Washthefuelfilterinfreshgasoline and
check it for
damage. A damaged one
shouldbereplacedwitha newone.

Caution:
- Gasolineisveryflammableandexplo-
sive. Avoid smoking and never allow
openflame or sparks around the ma-
chine.
- Select a well-ventilated placefor this
operation.
INSPECTION OF THE BLADE
A broken or deformed blade is very
dangerous.
It will cause unevenmow-
ingandabnormalvibration,whichmay
lead to breakdown.

Caution:
- Stop the engine without fail before
servicingthe
blade. Moreover, remove
the sparkplug captoavoidaccidental
engine starting.
- When tilting the machine to service
the bladeorfor other purposes, wear
thick glovesto avoidinjury.
2. Tilt themachineonits right-handside.
Important:
Tilt the
machine onlyon its right-hand
side, or difficult engine starting will
result.
3. Removethe bladetighteningboltsand
detachtheblade.
4. Check the blade for thickness, sharp-
nessof thecuttingedges, andbalance.
5. Whensharpeningthecuttingedges,file
the top side onlyand keep the original
bevel.Bothedgesshouldbefiledtothe

tres inflammable. Ne

VERIFICATION DE LA LAME
Une lamecassee,abimeeou deformee
est tresdangereuse.
Elle sera cause d'une tonte inegale et
engendrerades vibrationspouvant en-
dommagerla tondeuse.

- Arrtter systematiquement Ie moteur
pour inspecterlalame.Debrancber
Ie
capuchon de bougiepour evlter tout
dematrage intempestif du moteur.
- Porterdesgantsdetravailpour nepas
se blesserau contactde la lame.
Important:
N'inclinerla
machine quedu cOte droit.
poureviterpar la suiteles demarrages
difficiles.
3. Oter les boulonsde fixation et enlever
lalame.
4. Verifier
l' epaisseur, l' affutage et
I'equilibragede la lame.
5. Lors de
l' affutage de la lame, limer
uniquementle
cotesuperieurdelalame
afinde lui garder sonbiseau d'origine.
Les 2 extremitesdoivent etre affutees
