Caution:
- Before inspectingthe blade, stop the
engineandremovethesparkplugcap
topreventthe enginestartingacciden-
tally.
- Wearthick
gloves
wheninspectingthe
blade.
- Be sureto tiltthe machineonly on its
right-handsidetokeepthe carburetor
side up, or difficult engine start will
result.

fuel atonceandwaituntilit
evaporates
completely beforestartingtheengine.
1. Turn the fuel cock to the CLOSE posi-
tion
(5).
2. Remove the spark plug cap.
3. Tilt the machine on its right-hand side
as illustrated.
4. Check the blade tightening bolts for
tightness.
Re-tighten
them to
the
specified torque
if
necessary.
Type E
Type B
ADJUSTMENT
OF
THE
HANDLE
BAR
HEIGHT
1. Loosen the handlebar support tighten-
ing bolts and nuts at both sides.
2. Loosen the handlebar tightening nuts
on
both sides.
3. Remove the handlebar tightening bolts
which have square necks.
Reset the handle bar to the required
heightand re-installthe bolts. The han-
dle bar height can be adjusted in three
steps.
4. Re-tighten the bolts and nuts securely
both for the handlebar and its supports.

DU
GUIDON
1. Desserrer les boulons de fixation des
renforts de guidon de chaque
cote.
2. Desserrer les molettes de fixation de
guidon des 2
cotes de
la
machine.
3. Oter les boulons
it collet carre. Posi-
tionner le guidon
itla hauteurdesiree et
remettre les boulons en place. II existe
trois positions possibles de hauteur de
guidon.
4. Rebloquer les boulons de fixation du
guidon sur les renforts.
