board,millboard,plywoodpaneling,plywoodsubooringandwoodooring.
The IBV is listed for installation with “clearance to combustibles” (shown below) as follows:
A:Zeroinch(0”)clearancetothecombustibleoor
B:Zeroinch(0”)clearanceattheIsokernreboxandsmokedomesidesandfront
C:Oneandonehalfinches(11/2”)clearanceattheIsokernreboxandsmokedomebackwall
D: One inch (1”) minimum air space to combustibles at all B-Vent double wall chimney components’ outer layer.

CAUTION:Maintainthreeinches(3”)clearancetoinsulationandvaporbarriersfromallrebox,smokedomeandBVentue
components’ outer layer.
Notes:
1. TheIBVisdesigned,testedandapprovedforinstallationdirectlyonacombustibleoorsystempertheinstallationspecications
given in this manual.
2.AllIBVinstallationswillresultintheminimumnishedrebrickoorofthereboxbeingatleastfourandonehalfinches
(41/2”)abovethecombustibleoorsystem.Forushhearthinstallations,consultyourlocalrepresentative.
3.Thecombustibleoorinfrontofthereplacemustbecoveredwithanoncombustiblehearthextensionmaterialsettightagainst
thereplacefrontandextendingatleasttwentyinches(20”)outfromthenishedfrontofthereplaceandatleasttwelveinches
(12”)beyondthenishedsidesofthereplaceopening(Seepage28).
WARNING:Combustibleobjectsplacedinfrontofthereplacemustbekepttoaminimumoffortyeightinches(48”)clearance
tothereplaceopening.
