6.
Inspection
of
Idling
Speed
1) Conditions
Attention
:
Check the regular items including spark
plug,
fuel injector
and
compression pressure
of
the
cylinder at beginning of inspection.
The
en
gin
e coo
lan
t te
mpe
rature
is
80-
95
.
Lamps, electronic
fan and
all the accessories are
turned off.
Shiftlever is at neutral
position.
The steering
wheel is
at
center (equipped
with power
steering system).
2)
Connect
the
diagnosis
apparatus.
3) Start engine and
run
it at the lowest idle speed.
4)
Run engine
for over 5s with speed of 2000-3000 rpm and then make
the engine
operate for
2min at
the idle speed.
5)
Read
idling speed (750±50r/min).

Fuel
Pressure

est
Attention
:
Before disconnecting the
fuel pipeline,
it
is
necessar
y to
release the
fuel pr
essure inside
the
fuel
pipeline to
eliminate t
he danger
.
The O-rin
g shou
ld alw
ays be
used to
keep th
e seal
of the
connecting
joint
of fuel
hose.
Don’t
operate
the
electrical
system
during
inspection.
Note: Prepar
e a contain
er under
fuel pipe to avoid
the fuel spillag
e when pipes di
sconnected.
1)
Dismount the nut at fuel pressure inspection port on the guide rail of fuel injector.
2)
Connect fuel pressure gauge.
3)
With ignition switch at “ONposition, check for fuel leakage.
4)
With engine running with idling speed, check for the fuel leakage.
5)
Take down reading of fuel pressure gauge.
Fuel
pressure:
350KPa
Attention
:
Don’t
check
fuel
pressure
with
system
operating.
