The scope of delivery of the GridVis
®
Collector includes
the USB/RS-485 converter with a length of 1.8m (part
no.: 15.06.107). The cable length can be extended up
to 20m if required:

ATTENTION
Communication errors/malfunctions between the
GridVis
®
Collector and the measurement device!
Omitting a termination resistor when connecting a device
via the USB/RS-485 converter results in communication
errors or data transmission errors!
· Also connect a termination resistor (120Ω - part no.
52.00.008) between terminals A and B of the RS-485
interface of your measurement device using the USB/
RS-485 converter cable!
Connect your USB/RS-485 converter cable to terminals
A and B of the RS-485 interface of your measurement
device (UMG103-CBM, UMG96RM-CBM or UMG96-
PA) with a termination resistor (120Ω), observing the
cable lead assignments.
You can monitor the communication between the mea-
surement device and the GridVis
®
Collector:
· Red LED (query of the measurement device) and
· Green LED (Sending data from the UMG to the
GridVis® Collector).
