Commissioning of the GridVis
®
Collector requires know-
ledge of the GridVis software and can be carried out
directly by the customer.
Commissioning procedure:
1. Charge the battery of the GridVis
®
Collector.
2. Install GridVis plug-ins in the GridVis software from
the enclosed USB flash drive (section 6. 1 on page
46).
3. Establish a secure connection if required (section
„5. 2 Ethernet interface“ on page 34 or section
„5. 3 USB port“ on page 34)
4. Configure the GridVis
®
Collector in the GridVis soft-
ware (section 6. 2 on page 50).
5. Assign measurement devices to the GridVis
®
Col-
lector in the GridVis software.
6. Save the configuration on the supplied USB flash
drive*.
7. Insert the USB flash drive into the GridVis
®
Collec-
tor
8. Automatic transfer of the configuration via the USB
flash drive.
NOTE
· Before the GridVis
®
Collector is commissioned, the
on-site measurement devices should be commis-
sioned using the GridVis software.
· Configuration of the current transformer, records,
nominal values and the time cannot be done via the
GridVis
®
Collector.
· The GridVis
®
Collector is exclusively for reading
out measurement devices and synchronizing the
measured values with the GridVis database.

6. 1 Installing GridVis plug-ins in the GridVis soft-
ware from the enclosed USB flash drive
Integrating the GridVis
®
Collector in the GridVis soft-
ware (as of the "Professional" edition) requires the plug-
ins stored on the USB flash drive.
NOTE
The GridVis plug-ins can be found
· on the USB flash drive and
· on our homepage (www.janitza.de).
Installing the plug-ins in the GridVis software requi-
res GridVis version 7.2.103 or higher!
The USB flash drive contains 3 plug-ins for the ins-
tallation of the GridVis
®
Collector.
