5. Press down on the valve spring retainer
and slide the spring keepers out from the
assembly (Figure 121).
6. Remove the valve spring and valve spring
retainer.
7. Remove the suction and discharge valves
(Figure 122).
8. Inspect the valves. Refer to “Valve Inspec-
tion” on page 70 for inspection criteria.
