4.1 Controls
Before operating the machine, take the time to familiarize
yourself with the operation and function of all the controls
(Fig. 4.1-1).
A.
Press down to the end of the stroke and release the
! rst pedal from the left: the jaws of the turntable will
retract.
Do it again: the jaws will expand.
If you press the pedal prior to the end of the stroke and
release, the jaws may be stopped in any position.
B.
Open the bead breaker arm.
Press down and hold the central pedal: by doing this
you operate the bead breaker blade and the arm will
move towards the machine.
Release the pedal: the bead breaker cylinder returns
to its original position.
WARNING!
WATCH YOUR FINGERS AND LEGS!
C.
Press down and hold the ! rst pedal from the right: the
turntable turns clockwise (7 rpm).
Lift the pedal and the turntable turns counter-clockwise
(7 rpm).
D.
Lower the lock handle (1, Fig. 4.1-1) to unlock the
vertical slide, lift the handle to lock.
E.
Turn adjustment knob (2, Fig. 4.1-1) for positioning
mount/demount head to rim diameter.
F.
Press bead-seater pedal on left side of the machine
(3, Fig. 4.1-1) half way down: air will come out from
in" ation hose end.
If you operate on Tubeless
G.
Press bead-seater pedal (3) all the way down swiftly
to get air blast from the in" ator jets on the jaws.
Air simultaneously comes out of in" ator hose.
WHEN OPERATING THE BEAD SEATER AND INFLATOR
IT IS MANDATORY TO WEAR EAR PROTECTORS AND
SAFETY GLASSES TO PREVENT CONTAMINATION FROM
NOISE, DUST AND CHIPS BLOWN BY THE AIR JETS.
