Johnson Controls System 450 Series Technical Bulletin

The condensing unit control module automatically designates the sensor connected to the Sn-1
terminal and a common (C) terminal as the Sn-1 sensor in the UI. The sensor connected to the Sn-2
and a C terminal is designated Sn-2. Set up each sensor on the corresponding sensor setup screen
in the UI.
Note: To operate the condensing unit control system, you must wire the correct temperature
sensor or pressure transducer model to the correct sensor input terminals on the control
module. Select the correct sensor type on the select sensor type screen on the UI.

Condensing unit control system sensors and switches
C450CCU condensing unit control systems use A99 Series positive temperature coefficient (PTC)
sensors. Other temperature sensors cannot substitute the A99 Series sensors. For information
