transducer that you use in your application. You can also select an optional temperature offset
value for any temperature sensor or pressure transducer that you set up in your control system.
The sensor and transducer type that you select automatically determines the condition type, unit of
measurement, minimum differential, setup value ranges, and default setup values for each output
in your control system that references the sensor or transducer.
Condensing unit control modules support the following conditions:
• Specified temperature sensors
• Binary input that you connect to input sensor terminal Sn-2 and C
• Configuration of Sn-1, Sn-2 and Sn-3 as any supported sensor type
For more information about System 450 compatible sensor, see Table 23 to Table 27.
You can use the condensing unit control module to select an offset for each temperature sensor in
your control system. After each sensor type screen, there is a sensor offset screen that allows you
to enter an error offset for each sensor.
There are two different temperature offset screens depending on the type of sensor you select:
• Sensor type °F, which enables an offset of up to +/- 5°F in 1 degree increments.
• Sensor type °C, which enables an offset of up to +/- 3.0°C in 0.5 degree increments.
The temperature offset adjusts the displayed temperature value that is sensed at the sensor by
the offset value. For example, if the measured value is 72°F without an offset, and you select a -2°F
offset, the measured value is offset -2°F and the displayed value is 70°F.
Setting up the sensor type and offsets
1. On the condensing unit control module UI, navigate to the SENS screen and press Next.

2. To scroll through the sensor types in the Sn-1 screen, press Up or Down. When your required
sensor type displays, press Next to save the sensor type selection and go to the Sn-1 error
offset screen.
3. If your control system uses Sn-2 or Sn-3 sensors, repeat Step 2. When you select the correct
sensor type for each sensor in your control system, the sensors are set up in the UI.
4. If you select a temperature sensor type °F or °C for a sensor in your control system, a select
temperature offset OFFS
x
screen displays for each temperature sensor in your control
system. Press Up or Down to select the required temperature offset. Press Next to save the
offset value and go to the next screen.
5. When you set up all the sensors and temperature offsets, press Next to return to the SENS
screen.
6. If you allow the UI to remain dormant for 2 minutes and the main screen begins to autoscroll.
You can also return to the main screen by pressing Up and Down simultaneously while in any
setup start screen.
