What to do if Julabo MV-4 heater and circulation pump shut down?
    • J
      John FordAug 1, 2025
If the heater and circulation pump of your Julabo Thermostat completely shut down, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure that the bath tank has sufficient bath liquid. A low liquid level, possibly from a tube breakage causing excessive bath liquid pumped out, can cause this issue; in this case, replace the tubing and replenish the bath liquid. Also, check if the float is defective. The safety temperature value might be set too low; set it to a higher value. A sudden temperature increase, perhaps from an exothermic reaction or preheated samples, can also trigger a shutdown; in this case, set the safety temperature to a higher value. After addressing these potential issues, reset the system by switching the mains power off and on again.
