5.9.1 Downgrade E300 (V4) to V3
The downgrade can only be carried out on Kaba stand-
alone actuators.
The Programmer 1460 and the Programmer
1364 are needed for the downgrade.
After the downgrade, the actuator can only be
programmed with the Programmer 1364.
The variant described ensures that the line can
be selected.
1. Carry out INI reset on the actuator (3 s).
c-lever compact or digital cylinder:
a) Before the INI reset, present the authorised
medium.
b) Carry out INI reset on the actuator.
Remote reader or compact reader:
Note: Always interrupt the current during
switching.
Turn DIP switch 6 ON.
2. Connect the Programmer and the actuator
using the programming cable.
3. Open settings menu. (See Chapter 5.2.)

Select Firmware Update in the submenu and
confirm using the ENTER key.
Select Function type and confirm using the
ENTER key.
6. Select firmware version.
7. Security question?
Select yes in order to transfer the firmware to
the actuator.
8. Select line. (N-line not supported for c-lever
and c-lever compact).
The selected firmware and line are loaded
onto the actuator.
9. Following the downgrade of the remote
reader or compact reader, turn the DIP
switches 5 and 6 OFF. Note: Always interrupt
the current during switching.
