2 Safety information and the environment
2.1 Proper use
The Programmer is only to be used and operated for its
intended purpose, i.e. for the configuring and pro-
gramming of Kaba actuators. Any other use is not per-
mitted and can cause damage to the device.
2.2 Safety instructions
For safe use of the Programmer, the following safety
information is to be noted.
Caution
The Programmer is an electronic device that should be protected from the follow-
ing external influences:
• direct sunlight,
• direct heat sources, e.g. heating,
• direct fluids, e.g. water,
• changes in temperature, e.g. below 0 °C.
Caution
To protect against a loss of data, it is recommended to manage the locking sys-
tems using the software and to use the Programmer exclusively for data transfer.
Prior to commencing work, ensure that the
battery charge status is adequate for the next
use on site.
