8 Maintenance and troubleshooting 
8.1 Battery charge status 
The battery charge status is checked by the Program-
mer when it is switched on and during operation. 
8.2 Charge battery 
If the battery charge status is too low, this is displayed 
by the Programmer in a dialogue box on the display. 
There are two options for charging the battery. 
The battery can be charged using the USB interface 
and the USB cable to the PC or using the mains 
adapter. 
Caution 
The battery must only be replaced with a battery of the same type, as use of an-
other type of battery may damage the Programmer. 
Charging the battery using the PC 
1. Switch on the PC. 
2. Connect the Programmer to the PC using the 
USB cable. 
3. The Programmer switches on automatically.
4. The Programmer charges the battery autono-
mously if it is connected to the PC. 
Charging the battery using the mains adapter 
1. Connect the Programmer to the mains adapter 
using the USB cable.  
2. Plug the mains adapter into a plug socket. 
3. The Programmer switches on automatically.
4. The Programmer charges the battery autono-
mously if it is connected to the mains adapter.
