DisplayKeycardExample
Forexample,whenusingtheDisplayClockTimekeycard,youwillfirstseethedelimiter.###WHATISA
DELIMITER?###Afterthisdelimiter,theresponsetothefirstelementwillappear(Date/Time/DSTProblem).If
thereisadate,time,orDSTproblem,theredlightwillflashfromonetothreetimes.Youcanthenrefertothe
problemanalysistodeterminethenatureoftheproblem.Ifthereisnotadate,time,orDSTproblem,theredlight
willnotflash.Thedelimiterwillthenflashonetime.
Afterthisdelimiter,theresponsetothesecondelement(DSTStatus)willappear.Iftheredlightflashesonetime,
theDSTStatusisone,indicatingthatthelock’sclockisrunningonDaylightSavingTime.Ifthelock’sclockisnot
runningonDaylightSavingTime,theredlightwillnotflash.Thedelimiterwillthenflashonetime.
Afterthisdelimiter,theresponsetothethirdelement(Hours)willappear.Thisresponsewillconsistofyellow
and/orredlightstoindicatethehoursoftheday.Forexample,ifthelock’sclockisnowat2PM,thehourswillbe
representedbyoneyellowflash(valueof10)andfourredflashes(valueof4)(10+4=14hours,or2p.m.Military
Time).Thedelimiterwillthenflashonetime.
Afterthisdelimiter,theresponsetothefinalelement(Minutes)willappear.Thisresponsewillalsoconsistof
yellowand/orredlightstoindicatetheminutesofthehour.Forexample,ifthelock’sclockisnowat43minutes,
theminuteswillberepresentedbyfouryellowflashes(valueof10x4)andthreeredflashes(valueof1x3).The
delimiterwillthenflashonetime.
WhenyoufirstuseDisplaykeycardsitmaybedifficulttounderstandtheflashinglights.However,withalittlebit
ofpracticeyouwillbeabletousethekeycardswithlittledifficulty.Forsomeofthekeycards,yousimplyinsertthe
keycardintothelockandremoveimmediately.Youcanthenobservetheflashinglights.ForotherDisplay
keycards,youmustfollowcertainspecifiedprocedures.
