3.3KeycardSequence
Eachtypeofkeycardcanbeassignedasequencerangethatindicatesthenumberoftimesanewkeycardcanbe
made,butnotusedinthelock,beforethelockwillbeunabletorecognizethenextlockcodeandpermitentryinto
theroom.Thissequencerangecanbesetfrom1‐15skips.
Whenanewkeycardismadeitisencodedwiththefollowinginformation:
1.  KeyRecordNumber–Anumberthatindicateshowthecomputerhasfiledtheroomnumber.
2.  KeyCombination–Arandomcodenumbergeneratedbythecomputerwhenthekeyismade.
3.  IdentificationNumber(ID#)–Anumberfrom1‐255thatisassignedbythecomputertodifferentiateone
masterkeycardfromanother.
4.  NewKeyDate/Hour–Thedateandtimethatthekeycardwillbeginworkingonthelock.
5.  ExpirationDate/Hour–Thedateandtimethatthekeycardwillceasetoworkinthelock.
6.  SequenceNumber–Thenextsequencenumberassignedbythecomputer.
7.  PropertyNumber–Thenumberassignedtotheproperty.
Whenakeycardisinsertedintothelockandremoved:
1.  ThelockfirstconfirmsthattheKeyRecordNumberandPropertyNumberstoredinitsmemorymatchesand
numbersonthecard.
2.  ItthencheckstoensurethattheNewKeyDate/Timeonthekeycardisequalto,orlaterthatthekeydateand
timestoredinitsmemory.
3.  Finally,itcheckstheSequenceNumberonthecardtoensurethatitisequaltoorgreaterthanthesequence
numberinitsmemory,butdoesnotexceedtheprogrammedSequenceRange.
Whenthesethreechecksareconfirmed,thelockupdatestheinformationstoredinitsmemory.Itthenperforms
thenormalchecksandreleasesthelockingmechanism.
