LockBatteries
Eachlockcontainsabatterypack,whichisusedtopowerthelock’scircuitboardandtoreleasethelocking
mechanism.Twotypesofbatterypacksareavailable:alkalinebatteriesandlithiumbatteries.Thealkalinebattery
packcontainsfourbatteries.Thelonglifelithiumbatterypackcontainstwobatteries.
Thelock’sbatteriesmayneedtobereplacedwhenoneofthefollowingsymptomsappear:
• ADisplaykeycardproducesnolights.
• A Standardkeycard alternatelyflashesthe red lightwith the green oryellowlights, or flashes only
theredlight.
• TheLPIreportindicatesthatthebatteriesarelow.
Ifyouwishtotestalockforlowbatterycondition,useaDisplayLowBatteryStatuskeycard.Thiskeycardwill
verifywhetherornotthebatteriesarelowandneedchangingwithoutaffectinganykeycardsthatworkinthe
lock.Ifthekeyproducesnolights,followtheTroubleshootingProceduresintheLockInstallationManual.

EmergencyLockPowerSupply(ELPS)
TheEmergencyLock
PowerSupplyisusedtoprovidetemporarypowertolockwhilechangingbatteries.Ifthe
lock’sbatterieshavedied,theELPSprovidessufficientpowertoenableakeycardtoopenthedoor.Beforeusing
theELPS,youshouldalwayschecktheELPSbatteriesandinterfacecontactpadsorinterfacepins.
