4. Verify, by listening, that the fans are on.
— If the fans are not on, go to “A3 The Fans are Not Working” on
page 36, to troubleshoot them.
A2 Power Supply Troubleshooting
The main power supply is a switching supply designed with an automatic line-
voltage and frequency selection. The supply has a maximum total output
power draw of 450 watts. The supply converts line voltage (120 Vac or
240 Vac) to regulated DC voltages. There is an internal power line fuse that is
not replaceable. If the fuse opens, the power supply must be replaced. All A2
Power Supply outputs, except for the +5VSB (standby- supply), are over-
current protected and will not be damaged if a continuous short circuit occurs.
Also there is over-voltage protection; it will shut down if exceeds required
voltage.
Remove the outer and inner instrument covers. Refer to Chapter 3, “Assembly
Replacement.” for instructions on removing the instrument covers.
1. Position unit with front display upside down.
2. Connect power cord to the unit.
3. Check power supply LED's DS1 - DS9.
DS1 = +5V_STBY, DS2 = +5V_REF_OCXO, DS3 = +12VD, DS4 = +5VA,
DS5 = -7VA DS6 = +9VA, DS7 = +15VA, DS8 = -15VA and
DS9 = Configuration(Prog)

4. Replace A2 power supply if one or more LED's of DS2 to DS8 is not lit.
