Verification Description
The verification procedures described in this section verify that the Keysight N6700C series MPS is
operating normally and is within published specifications. The following types of performance
verification tests are available:
Performance Tests - These tests verify that the power system is operating normally and meets the
specifications published in the Keysight N6700 Modular Power System Family Specifications Guide.
Calibration Tests - These tests verify that the power system is operating within its calibration limits.
Keysight Technologies recommends that complete verification should always be performed at the
calibration interval. If the power system passes the verification tests, the unit is operating within its
calibration limits and does not need to be re-calibrated. This ensures that the instrument will remain
within specifications for the next calibration interval and provides the best long-term stability.
Performance data measured using this method may be used to extend future calibration intervals.
If the instrument fails any of the tests or if abnormal test results are obtained, try calibrating the unit. If
calibration is unsuccessful, return the unit to a Keysight Technologies Service Center.
