Low Range
Step 7. Program the N679xA load settings as described in the test record form under “Power
Programming & Readback - Low range, Minimum power”.
Step 8.Divide the voltage drop (DMM reading) across the current shunt by the shunt resistance to
convert to amps and record this value (Iin). Also, record the current reading measured over the
interface. Calculate the power as follows: P = Iin x Vin. Vin is the voltage measured by the second
DMM. The readings should be within the limits specified in the test record form for the appropriate
model under “Power Programming & Readback, Low range, Minimum power”.
Step 9. Program the N679xA load settings as described in the test record form under “Power
Programming & Readback - Low range, Low power”.
Step 10.Divide the voltage drop (DMM reading) across the current shunt by the shunt resistance to
convert to amps and record this value (Iin). Also, record the current reading measured over the
interface. The readings should be within the limits specified in the test record form for the appropriate
model under “Power Programming & Readback, Low range, Low power”.
