Source current operation
To set up the U2722A/U2723A for source current operation, proceed as follows.
Keysight Measurement Manager operation
1 Connect a load to the output terminals.
With power-off, connect a load to the OUTPUT+ and OUTPUT– output
terminals of any channel.
2 Turn on the U2722A/U2723A.
The U2722A/U2723A will go into a power-on or reset state; the output is
disabled. Ensure that the USB interface has already been connected between
the U2722A/U2723A and PC. Load the Keysight Measurement Manager
software to control the U2722A/U2723A remotely.
On the application panel, choose the channel you have connected the load to,
set the voltage range to either 2 V or 20 V, and select the current range.
Otherwise, enable Auto Range for both voltage and current. Proceed to select
Source Current and click Output to enable the output. The button will turn
green. Clicking Output again disables the output and it will turn to gray. Refer
to Figure 2-2, Figure 2-3, and Figure 2-4 for the details.
In source current mode, the current values between the meter and limit modes
are the same, but the voltage values are not. The changes you make to the
voltage only set the input protection values.
3 Adjust the slider for the desired output current.
Adjust the slider or key in the value at Drive Current for the desired output
current.
4 Real time display of the measured voltage and current.
The application display panel will show the real time values of both the voltage
and current of that channel as shown in Figure 2-3.
