Why won't the pilot light stay lit on my Kingsman MDV30?
    • F
      Frank ColonAug 14, 2025
If the pilot light of your Kingsman Indoor Fireplace won't stay lit after following the lighting instructions, it could be due to a defective thermocouple (or flame switch). Ensure the pilot flame properly touches the generator and thermocouple. Clean or adjust the pilot for maximum flame impingement. If it still won't hold, replace the thermocouple, tightening it by hand plus an additional 1/8 turn. If the pilot still won’t hold, the valve magnet may be defective and require valve replacement.

How to fix a Kingsman MDV30 spark igniter that won't light?
    • B
      Brenda LopezAug 18, 2025
If the spark igniter of your Kingsman Indoor Fireplace won't light, check for a spark at the electrode and pilot. If there's no spark and the electrode wire is properly connected, the igniter may be defective and needs replacement. Alternatively, try lighting the pilot with a match. If it lights, turn off the pilot and try the red button again. If it still doesn't light, check the gap at the electrode and pilot; it should be 1/8” to 1/4” for a strong spark.

Why does my Kingsman MDV30 Indoor Fireplace have frequent pilot outage problems?
    • P
      pamelaruizAug 25, 2025
Frequent pilot outages in your Kingsman Indoor Fireplace may be due to a pilot flame that is too low or blowing too high, causing the pilot safety to drop out. To resolve this, clean and/or adjust the pilot flame to ensure maximum flame impingement on the generator and thermocouple.

What to do if the flame lifts off the burner and goes out quickly in my Kingsman Indoor Fireplace?
    • M
      melindahinesAug 28, 2025
If the flame lifts off the burner and goes out in less than 30 seconds in your Kingsman Indoor Fireplace, the inner 4” liner may have come off the flue or termination, causing the flame to starve for oxygen. Attach the 4” liner to the flue or termination using screws, silicone, and clamps as stated in the manual.

Why does the flame lift off the burner on one side of my Kingsman Indoor Fireplace?
    • D
      Danny BrownAug 31, 2025
If the flame lifts off the burner on one side while the rest of the flame remains lit on your Kingsman Indoor Fireplace, it may be due to improper installation of the firebrick, where the firebrick is likely leaning. Ensure you position the firebrick against the firebox walls and use brick clips attached to the inner side of the firebox.

What to do if my Kingsman Indoor Fireplace pilot is burning but there's no gas to the burner?
    • J
      Jason EscobarNov 20, 2025
If the pilot is burning, the valve knob is “ON”, and the wall switch is “ON”, but there's no gas to the burner in your Kingsman Indoor Fireplace, the wall switch or wires may be defective. Check the wall switch and wires for proper connections. You can use a jumper wire across the terminals at the wall switch. If the burner comes on, replace the defective wall switch. If the switch is okay, jumper wires across the wall switch wires at the valve. If the burner comes on, the wires are faulty or the connections are bad. Alternatively, the generator may not be generating sufficient voltage, so check the generator with a millivolt meter at the gas valve terminals; it should read a minimum of 325 millivolts while holding the valve knob depressed in the pilot position and the wall switch “off”.
