VI. EMERGENCY PROCEEDINGS
Emergency proceedings might be necessary in case of inability of the operator or machine
malfunction.
This chapter is made to assist the operators during these procedures.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY,
THE MAIN PRIORITY IS ALWAYS THE SAFETY OF THE OPERATORS
BEFORE ANY EMERGENCY PROCESS, CHECK THAT THE ELEVATOR IS NOT
CONNECTED TO ANY UNDER VOLTAGE DEVICE. IN FACT, TOUCHING FROM THE
GROUND AN UNDER VOLTAGE VEHICLE MAY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH.
A. Emergency shutdown
Red palm button installed on both of the control panels.
TO ACTIVATE THE EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN, PUSH THE BUTTON
This will immediately stop the engine of the vehicle and all the functions of the
elevator.
Turn clockwise to reactivate the machine.
B. Emergency pump
In case of failure of the main source of energy (vehicle engine), an emergency pump powered by
the battery of the vehicle is installed.
To activate this device, select the movement, then push the emergency pump
button.
 Only use the emergency pump if the vehicle engine is off.
 This device must never be used continuously for more than 30s.
The emergency pump can be activated from both of the control panels, it is not
necessary to use the speed lever.
C. Overriding
In case of emergency, emergency shutdown and movement limitations can be ignored in order to
return the elevator.
Overriding the emergency shutdown : Hold the button to the right
Overriding the limitations : Hold the button to the left
Use then the controls normaly to return the elevator back to its support.
IMPORTANT : OVERRIDING MUST ONLY BE USED IN CASE OF
EMERGENCY PROCEEDINGS
