The signals from the 2 SENSORS are continually monitored by the SLOW SCAN
CONTROLLER BOARD A6, and the power to the COIL BOARD A7 is decreased or
increased to provide smooth rotation and continual speed.
20,000 counts of the ENCODER make one rotation of the LEAD SCREW. The system moves
to each of the following positions until it reaches the correct number of counts:
start of scan
erase
end of scan
ERASE AY
The ERASE AY includes 5 pairs of high-
intensity ERASE LAMPS that expose the
scanned SCREEN to white light. This
operation releases any residual charge on
the SCREEN.
