Replacing the
skimmer rollers
If the skimmer housing is damaged, replace the entire skimmer
assembly and skimmer flag. If you just want to replace the rollers, follow
the steps below.
NOTE: The procedure for replacing the front and rear skimmer
assembly rollers is the same.
1. Remove the skimmer assembly as previously described in the
section entitled, “Replacing the skimmer assembly”.
2. Remove the top cover of the skimmer assembly by squeezing the
tabs located on top of the assembly together and pulling the cover
off the assembly.
3. Lift the rollers up and out of the skimmer assembly.
4. Pull the roller shaft from the roller assembly. It should slide out
easily. Discard the old rollers.
5. Place the new roller on the roller shaft so that the larger opening
faces the gear.
6. Place the roller assemblies back into the lower housing.
