life.
Context
ThechargersocketsonPXcatchmonitoringsensorsofferafail-safemethodforthe
batterychargerconnection.However,thesocketsareexposedtoseawaterwhenthe
sensorisused.Saltandmoistureinthechargersocketswillincreasethetransmission
resistanceanditwillcausethechargerplugstocorrode.
WARNING
Youmustneverattempttoopenthesensor.Therearenouserserviceableparts
inside,andyoumayeasilycausealeak.
Procedure
1Washthesensorwithfreshwateraftereveryuseand/orbeforecharging.
2Inspectfrequentlythebrassscrewinthewaterswitchsockettoavoidcorrosion
thatwillmakeitimpossibletounscrew.
3Whenneeded,replacethebrassscrewinsidethewaterswitchtoavoiditscorrosion.
ApplyAquaShield(orsimilarunderwaterlubricant)toeveryscrewbeforeinserting
it.
Cleaningthesensorchargersockets
Inordertoensurethatthechargingisefcient–andtoreducethewearandtearofthe
socketsandthechargerplug–itisimportantthatthesocketsarecleanedthoroughly
beforechargingorsensorcongurationtakesplace.
