Checkingtheoffsetvaluesforevery
measurement
Iftheoffsetparameterisnotdenedcorrectlyforsomemeasurements,youcanget
confusingreadingsfromthesensor.
Prerequisites
TheTV80hasbeensetupwithitshardwareunitsconnectedasspeciedbytherelevant
installationinstructions.
Context
Whenmeasuringheight,offsetisnormallyusedtocompensatethevaluereadbythe
sensorsplacedonthetrawldoor.Ifyouwanttoknowtheheightfromthedoortothe
seaoor,youmustentertheoffsetvaluetocompensatethedistancebetweenwherethe
sensorisplacedonthedoorandthebottomofthedooritself.Thedistancebetweenthe
dooradapterandthebottomofthedooristherelevantoffset.
Whenmeasuringdepthbythedepthlidofasensor,therewillalwaysbeadeviationin
readingsofaapproximately+/-1or2m.
Procedure
1Connectthesensortothecomputerusingtheprogrammingcable.
2Ontheprocessorunitdesktop,double-clicktheTV80icontostarttheprogram.
3OpentheSetupmenu.
4SelectOffsetstoopentheOffsetsdialogbox.
Observetherelevantvaluesdenedforeverymeasurement.
5Ifnecessary,enternewvaluesbasedonyourknowledgeofthephysicallocationof
thesensorandthepropertiesofyourgear.
6SelectOKtoclosethedialogbox.
7Disconnectthesensorfromtheinterfacecableandthecomputer.
